Descripción

Sports injuries are among the greatest challenges that athletes face throughout their careers. Beyond the physical impact and physiological consequences, injuries also have a significant effect on mental health, motivation, and confidence, ultimately influencing athletic performance and overall well-being.

The rehabilitation and reconditioning process of an injured athlete involves multiple areas, and one of the most crucial is strength training and recovery following the injury episode. Strength development during rehabilitation is essential for achieving many of the athlete’s goals and requirements to safely and effectively regain their sport-specific abilities.

This program aims to provide psychological tools based on the latest scientific evidence to better understand and manage the emotional impact of sports injuries. Throughout the program, sports professionals will learn in depth about the different processes that emerge when an injury occurs, as well as how to provide strategies for prevention, intervention, and reintegration to help athletes return to their highest level.

Additionally, through the program’s content, professionals will gain knowledge on how to approach strength work from the moment the athlete begins treatment on the therapy table until they are fully training again with the team—a process in which the athlete works with various methodologies and different specialists.

This program is part of the Barça philosophy of continuous education, applied not only to athletes but also to the coaching staff and performance specialists surrounding the club. The goal is to train experts capable of addressing recovery not only from a physical perspective but also a mental one, aligned with the comprehensive and forward-thinking approach that defines FC Barcelona.
