The startup Sweanty has emerged as the winner of the 2nd Allianz Startup Challenge, which was jointly organized by Barça Innovation Hub and the insurance and investment company Allianz. The competition aimed to identify and support promising startups with innovative solutions that have the potential to revolutionize the world of sports. Dozens of innovative startups from around the world participated in the competition over several months.
The winner of the competition was elected during the final session of the Sports Tomorrow Congress. The six startups that advanced to the final phase of the contest presented their projects to the jury and attendees of the event.

Mónica González, Marketing and Client Director of Allianz Spain, announced the final verdict of the competition. She formed the jury of the Challenge along with Marc Márquez, MotoGP rider and Allianz ambassador, Anna Valverde, Regional Organization Director of Allianz, Albert Mundet, Director of the Barça Innovation Hub, and Jordi Mompart, Research Director of FC Barcelona.

The innovative approach taken by Sweanty impressed the jury, leading to the startup being awarded the first prize, which includes a check for €5,000 and a trophy made from nets collected from the sea. This trophy highlights Allianz’s commitment to sustainability.
Sweanty’s winning solution involves the development of a proprietary technology that analyzes the ionic composition of sweat and its impact on health and well-being. The startup is currently utilizing this solution in two different products: a patch for the detection of cystic fibrosis and a tool for analyzing the hydration status of athletes, which recommends rehydration patterns.

Congratulations to Sweanty for emerging as the winner of the 2nd Allianz Startup Challenge. We eagerly await to witness their future accomplishments in the upcoming years.
